Oregon - Day Five

Gorgeous day on the beach this morning! The part of the coast we were on is known for its sand dunes so we picked one and started climbing. Noah almost slept through the whole experience but he woke up in time to take some pictures. He and I didn't make it down to the water but we played a bit in the sand.

Our destination for the day was Roseburg - about 2.5 hours inland. The husband has family all over the state of Oregon but Roseburg is the hub for everyone. His grandparents' home/land is there and even though they've passed, the house is still kept up by a couple of Aunts and Uncles. It's a beautiful little farm surrounded by cows, a handful of chickens and borrowed sheep used as lawnmowers. We weren't the only family visiting (the place is built to host a dozen or more people at once) so it turned out to be a full house with a bonus for the kids as they had some new friends to play with.

The drive over had been pretty traumatizing for Noah (remember his hatred for the carseat?) so we were extremely thankful to be able to relax for the afternoon.

The view from the top of the hill at the house.

Next: Day Six
