Oregon - Day Three

Headed to Eugene today. We had a couple of hours drive ahead of us this morning so I was beside myself with nerves on how Noah would do in the car after yesterday's breakdown. I am so thankful to report that he slept the full two hours to get to Eugene!

There's wasn't much we had planned to do here, mostly just see what there was around town. So we definitely weren't prepared to find out that the Track and Field Olympic trials were going on at the college and our first stop, a children's science museum, was directly across from the stadium. Luckily we were there early enough to avoid any crowds it was by the grace of God that we were able to also find a hotel for that night! If we had been there the day before there would have been nothing available in town. The hotel was even decked out with maps, welcome signs for athletes/coaches/fans and lots of "Olympian" looking people.

The children's museum was rundown and a little creepy but we sat in for a 15-minute Planetarium presentation - Noah and Daddy's first time. Noah seemed a little dazed by the "spinning" room and one of our friends kids swears up and down that the building was actually turning. Haha!

We found a quaint shopping court to have lunch and look at a couple of boutiques but later the husband and his friend got the afternoon off while we stayed and chilled with the kiddos at the hotel. They're aware that the favor gets reversed at some point during this trip.

Fish and chips (again) tonight. Not my thing but everyone else is raving about how yummy it all is.

Next: Day Four
